Interim Executive Director
Eileen Hansen

Eileen Hansen comes to Agape as our Interim Executive Director from three decades of experience within nonprofit organizations. Currently, her work is focused on organization development and transition consulting. Within the context of social change, Eileen partners with organizations that are building communities, confronting systemic injustice, and transforming societal structures.

Eileen will help us transition from Karen Topakian's 15-year tenure as Executive Director and create a plan for how best to move Agape forward. 


Administrative Director
Nina Dessart

Nina has been the Administrative Director of the Agape Foundation since January of 2002. She comes to Agape from Greenpeace, the San Francisco SPCA, and both Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Rikers Island Correctional Facility in NYC.

She has a master’s degree from the Columbia University School of Social Work, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Columbia. She also attended Oberlin Conservatory and now sings, tours and records with the San Francisco Concert Chorale. Nina is also an active parent in her daughter's co-operative preschool, the Children's Community Center, in Berkeley.
