Checks, Credit Cards and Electronic Funds Transfers We can accept any and all donations by check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express) or electronic funds transfer. (Note that if you itemize your tax deductions, your contribution is fully deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income; any excess can be carried forward for up to five additional years.) These are great ways to make a regular pledge to Agape - you don’t have to worry about remembering to send us a check and we can keep working for peace and justice. Donate Appreciated Securities Many donors make gifts of securities to the Agape Foundation as a way to make a contribution and avoid Capital Gains taxes. In most cases, this enables the donor to obtain a charitable income tax deduction equal to the market value of the securities at the time of transfer, for up to 30% of their adjusted gross income.
