Fiscal Sponsorship
Approval Process
The Agape Foundation's staff reviews all requests for fiscal sponsorship
to determine if the work that the applying group is doing meets tax-exempt
requirements for 501(c) (3) organizations, and furthers Agape's mission.
The Board of Trustees then reviews all proposals that have met those criteria.
Upon Board approval, the staff sends a written grant agreement setting
forth all the terms and conditions that apply to the organizations
use of the grants and relations with funding sources. Thus, before funds
are solicited from donors, foundations or government agencies, Agape has
pre-approved the organization as its grantee. Proposals that do not meet
the funding priorities receive rejection notices that include the reason(s)
for rejection.
