The bi-weekly educational presentations are designed for medical professionals, students, nonprofit organizations and businesses in order to promote understanding, and prevent violence and discrimination.

Emmy Lefson Memorial Fund for Peace, Social Justice and Human Rights | $2,000

 
To establish a permanent location as a center for anti-militarism in central San Diego. The center will be a safe place for service members to gather, learn about their rights, and organize cooperatively from the inside in opposition to the military. The center will also function as a gathering place for people working in anti-military organizations.

Support for San Francisco State University students and Bayview-Hunter's Point residents who have formed an anti-death penalty organization. They will hold events, produce educational materials and launch an inmate outreach program to death row inmates at San Quentin State Prison.
