Asociacion de la Gente Unida por el Agua (AGUA) Visalia, CA // The Agape Foundation Board of Trustees Grant and Frederick E. Pratt, MD Memorial Fund $4,000   Asociacion de la Gente Unida por el Agua (AGUA) of Visalia received $4,000 from the Agape Foundation Board of Trustees Grant Fund and the Frederick E. Pratt, MD Memorial Fund to continue their grassroots campaign to push the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Board for more effective groundwater protection. They are a coalition of small, rural, predominately Latino communities and six nonprofit organizations dedicated to securing safe, clean and affordable water in the Central Valley. Top

Association of Raza Educators Los Angeles, CA // The Agape Foundation Board of Trustees Grant $4,000 The Association of Raza Educators of Los Angeles received $4,000 from the Agape Foundation Board of Trustees Grant Fund to provide an informational/action campaign which will lead to the formation of advocacy committees to speak for the needs of undocumented people in the United States. This will evolve into community forms, and human rights and leadership trainings for students, parents and teachers. Top

Catalyst Project San Francisco, CA // The Emmy Lefson Memorial Fund for Peace, Social Justice and Human Rights $2,000   The Catalyst Project of San Francisco received $2,000 from the Emmy Lefson Memorial Fund for Peace, Social Justice and Human Rights for general support to sustain three core programs: the anti-war movement building program, their Study and Struggle Bay Area strategy discussion series, and their Bay Area anti-racist training intensive program. Pratt, MD Memorial Fund for general support to inform and educate the public, students, parents and school personnel about the growing militarization of our schools. Top

La Voz Latina de la Ciudad Central San Francisco, CA // The David R. Stern Fund $5,000   La Voz Latina de la Ciudad Central of San Francisco received $5,000 from the David R. Stern Fund to teach and prepare Tenderloin immigrants and their landlords and employers about their rights in case of a raid, and to help residents and allies pressure elected officials to support immigration reform. The National Immigrant Solidarity Network Los Angeles, CA // The Agape Foundation Board of Trustees Grant $1,500   The National Immigrant Solidarity Network of Los Angeles received $1,500 from the Agape Foundation Board of Trustees Grant Fund and the Wayne R. Hultgren Fund for Peace and Social Justice for general support. They are a coalition of multi-ethnic, grassroots immigrant, labor, student, youth, people of faith, and peace/justice/human rights organizations and activists that promote immigrant rights and struggles against immigrant bashing, sweatshop exploitation and racism. Pratt, MD Memorial Fund $5,000   The Oakland Family Network Project of the Campaign to End the Death Penalty received $5,000 from the David R. Stern Fund and the Frederick E. Pratt, MD Memorial Fund to support the creation of the California Network of Family & Friends of Death Row Prisoners. Top
